Voice Activated Technology - Identification and analysis of background noise.
Differentiating between different sounds and giving proper indication.
This project was made in the HS-DSL lab.
The project contains both worlds of hardware and software programing, and their integration.
The main goal of our work was to develop the ability of identifying sounds through a microphone, and distinguishing between sounds of hand-claps and other sounds.
The hardware part was described in VHDL and implemented on an FPGA of a ZedBoard. The software part was described in c programming language and implemented on the ZYNQ PS.
We decided to change the state of a LED as a response to a clap- turn the light on or off.
Such technologies are crucial nowadays, as technology leaps forward and allows us broader control over everyday tasks.
