Help dog owners better understand the behavior and feelings of their dog by analyzing the movement of its tail.
A device made to monitor a dog’s tail movement and analyze it, to give better understanding of its feelings to the owner.
The device is managed by the ESP32 processor which controls all the components. It collects the data received from the sensors,
and allows the device to process it, and transmit this data via Lora to a receiver monitor, sending the data to a classifier built in machine learning in a python program,
classifying the movement by x,y,z accelerations and giving the user a proper description about the dog’s feeling on the pc screen.
The device has many attributes:
1. it has at least 150 meter range in urban areas.
2. the battery gives us about 4 hours of constant use.
3. it gives acccuracy of 81% analyzing and detecting 7 different movements of the tail.
4. it has a reasonable upfront cost and no subscription of any kind.
With this device we have achieved our goal to help dog owners who struggle with the problem to understand what their dogs are feeling
or trying to tell them.
We have based all of the analyzing on detecting the tail’s movement, because our research concluded that we can tell almost everything about the dog by analyzing it.
