Long distance wireless remote control for sound system

Long-Range RF Audio Mixer: Enabling Remote Control of Audio Mixing over a 1-2 km Range Using a Wireless System with Microcontroller, DSP, and RF Communication for Real-Time Adjustments.

This project focuses on developing a long-range RF-based audio mixer system that enables remote control of volume, equalization, and input selection. Using an ESP32 microcontroller, a TDA7440DS audio DSP, and an FrSky X8R receiver-transmitter system, the setup provides wireless communication over distances of up to 2 km with low latency. The microcontroller processes PWM signals from the RF module and converts them into I2C commands to adjust audio settings. The system was designed for efficiency and ease of use, featuring a custom PCB layout optimized for minimal interference and stable operation. Testing was conducted at both unit and system levels to confirm proper functionality in different conditions. Future improvements could include a dedicated mobile application, local manual controls, and better user interface elements for real-time feedback.
