In this project, a full process of building a power management board was conducted, and designed according to given specifications and guidelines.
Mechanical design was performed using SketchUp, while electrical schematics and layout were performed using KiCAD software.
Mechanically, dimension demands of 31mm X 30mm X 73mm were successfully achieved. Final board layout met a challenging 2 layer PCB layout specification.
Many modern applications are required to operate for long periods of time without an external energy source. Such applications, including IOT devices, remote sensors and Micro-Satellites, must harvest energy from any source available and be able store it for any time needed.
For Micro-Satellites, efficient and robust power distribution is an essential necessity.

Electrically, an input voltage range of 300mV – 7V was obtained, and two voltage outputs – one fixed at 5V and the other user adjustable at 2.2V – 9V range.
Device control and user interface was achieved via the ESP32 microcontroller Wi-Fi channel.
