In our project, we will build a beam former module for ultrasound scanner. The module includes 128 transmitting channels with configurable beam former skew and a HV switches for measurement of the echo signal.
Ultrasound-based diagnostic imaging technique is used for visualizing internal body structures including tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs for possible pathology or lesions.
Ultrasound scanner uses array of transducers in order to send and receive pressure waves. After a processing of the returned echo signals an image is created and specialist can perform a diagnostic on it.
Our project will address the development of 3D ULS imaging system for research purposes.
