Switch connecting multiple FPGA’s

Giga-bit transceivers are serial data channels that connect between several chips on a PCB board. Today they have become the main fast data routs most digital system uses. Ranging from 8GHz to 27Ghz.

Project gole

  • The NetFPGA has the possibility to connect to other FPGAs via Giga-bit transceivers.
  • The Xilinx board has agrate number of those receivers.
  • This board should implement the switch-logic which connect to a several NetFPGA’s
  • Data transfer should work from the host via DMA to the DDR-memory of each of the connected NetFPGA cards  and vice versa
