Detection of signals sampled in low rate

Implementation of the Cyclostationary feature detection Algorithm.

Toady, Broadband communication signals are transmitted in the range of GHz, and includes several bands of information. In order to process the analog signal, it is necessary to convert it to digital representation. A direct sampling process (in Nyquist rate) is not possible, due to hardware limitations. In the recent years, a new method was developed for sampling sparse signals below the Nyquist rate. The system which implements this method is called Modulated Wideband converter (MWC, Mishali & Eldar, 2010). This system is noise sensitive, and a regular energy detection process is not sufficient for the detection of the signals. In this project, we implement an alternative method for signal detection which is called Cyclostationary detection. This method uses the properties of cyclostationary signals in order to distinguish between the communication signal and the noise.
